Of course, I like all the jewelry I make. But every now and then, I create something that makes me say, “Dang, this girl is good!” This set is an example.
This necklace mixes things up a bit by combining a few techniques into one piece. I started off with the copper wire-wrapped pendant, complete with a chunky, yet lightweight, fair trade tagua nut bead. When I finished wire wrapping the tagua nut, I thought the pendant was cool. But it wasn’t enough.
So, I decided to weave in some copper wire adorned with a few glass faceted rounds. I loved the result.
A few days later, I looked at my fabulous pendant and decided it deserved to be surrounded by other fabulous beads. So, I framed the pendant with more gorgeousness.
I didn’t want to overwhelm my pendant, so I stopped about halfway along the length and finished the necklace off with black leather. The leather is secured by additional copper wire wrapped in a coiled pattern. Even the strongest baby couldn’t wrestle this piece off your neck.
Of course, I had to make a matching pair of earrings. And, I love how these turned out.
Suffice to say this is one set I thought about keeping all to myself. But I can’t wear everything. So, I decided to offer it to you.
You know you want this! Get it while it lasts. Of course, this is the only one, so don’t wait.
