I promised you would see more of the beautiful African Krobo Beads this week, and I am a woman of my word. I featured them earlier in a beautiful bib design. Today, they shine in this knotted leather creation.
I used both gold and brown leather to form the strands of the necklace. I added the Krobo beads to smaller pieces, knotted the ends and then slipped them over the double leather strands. The vintage brass cable chain adds nice decoration, as do the pearls (especially the cluster in the middle).
I like how this one turned out. Knotting is not my main thing, but the construction of this necklace was just too easy not to give it a try.
I also had to make a matching pair of earrings. Especially since I had some leftover chain that was just the right length.
You can get these in my store both individually or as a set. The set is priced with a 10% savings.
So, what do you think of my first knotting experience?
